Mannerheim’s Saloon Car

Mannerheim’s Saloon Car is the carriage that was used by Commander-in-Chief Mannerheim and his personnel in 1939-1946. The saloon car is open to the public once a year on Mannerheim’s birthday, June 4th.

Harjukoski Mill

Urpola nature center

Urpola luontokeskus visitor centre is a refreshing and versatile excursion destination near the center of Mikkeli. The center has an exhibition that is changed every year and then opened for the summer. Besides the everchanging exhibition, you can discover Urpola’s nature trails and campfire sites, or rent equipment such as rowing boats, kayaks, SUP boards and cargo bikes.

They preserve, record and make the local material and visual cultural heritage known by carrying out research, teaching, exhibition and publishing activities and by offering versatile visual arts services.
